Hi,
We converted the databse to Db2 and i ran one program in Db2 and in old database. In db2 it is taking 48 seconds and in other database it is taking 4 seconds. I saw the queries in Db2 and all queries are using key columns( full key). what could be the reason... _________________ Thanks

Try running a RUNSTATS to update the catalog and then re-bind the application plan. |

Hi Kosulu,
The other database is Datacom/DB. I did run the Runstats and reorg and recompiled the programs. It is taking long time. We are testing in test environment. Is there any problem with buffer pools, sort files/ work files etc with in Db2 or do they need to do some thing in DB2 environment.. _________________ Thanks

Hi BIthead/Kosulu,
How frequently we need to do Runstats/reorg.. The tables are updated/inserted every day. there will be around 35,000 updates/inserts to the database... _________________ Thanks

I run REORGS and RUNSTATS every week. I then run REBINDS on data sensitive applications. |
