A 3084 back in '85, huh? I only beat you by a year or two. |
Anther question:
In moving from SAN2SAN, I had to create an IODF that talked only to the new volumes.(the copies)
Otherwise, at IPL time you get hundreds of Duplicate volser found, specify which one is to remain offline messages.
Been there. Dun that.
So I genned the new iodf. Stuck it in A2 slot. Did a software activate.
Now at the HMC it says:
Active IOCDS A2
IOCDS that matches HSA A3
There is NO SOURCE in A2, I presume it was blanked out by the activate command.
Is A2 still PWRONRESTable? There must be some kind of object code that's attached to it even though there is no source. This must be the output of the standalone IOCP program. I guess I'm a bit confused because I want to get the IODF's, the HSA, and the IOCP's back in sync and this was the first time I used ACTIVATE |
