Hello all,

I am involved in Micro Fous Migration project. Found a strange scenario in Micro Focus enironment in CICS. When there is no changes in a CICS screens fields i.e MDT is not ON for any of the fields in the screens but the screen fields has values and once the Enter is pressed the receive map is casuing all low values to the screen fields and when again send map is done the screen fields are blanks.

When checked the same in Mainframe this scenario doesnot happen. Please let me know if any option in map or send/receive map option can be chnaged to avoid the above scenario.

Rajkannan,

Is your transaction reading off TSQ ? A rule in APCICSIN named $TP-MDTOFF-BUILD-QUEUENAME builds the temporary storage queue name used to store the screen records. You can change this rule.

Yes it uses TSQ. Could you please let me know exactly what needs to be done in order to set the MDT on when there is no chnages to screen fields and enter is pressed.

If you are fixing Microfocus program You need to change the flag $TP-MDTOFF-BUILD-QUEUENAME.

Thanks for the reply. Meanwhile just wanted to check if we need to update this $TP-MDTOFF-BUILD-QUEUE in the configuration information in enterprise server.
