|
|
Hi,
In my current project we have a set of jobs which are run manually one by one. The jobs are running cobol-datacom programs. In development region we dont have any tools due to budget constraints. In production these jobs are running through Control-M.
I want to know is there any possibility of developing any tool which can run the jobs one by one. If so which programing language should I need to use. I want to have start up idea so that I can proceed further in developing the tool. Please help me. _________________ Thanks

I doubt the language that you choose will make much of a difference. What's more important is to determine what the program/task will need to do to meet your needs. |

Would something simple be acceptable? Add a final IEBGENER step in each job to copy the next one to the INTRDR. Search on INTRDR for examples. _________________ Regards,

I use a rexx exec and control file that allows a job to submit the next job if ALL predecessors have run. It is included at the end of each job. _________________ Utility and Program control cards are NOT, repeat NOT, JCL. |
