I want to know what softwares are already installed on Z/OS, and some related info (e.g. which lib the software module is located in,etc.). Could anybody tell me how to check this? Thanks

Simple, ask in your shop. That is the only place you can really get an answer. Things like HLQ and data set naming are all site specific.
To start, you could like in SDSF with DA and try to figure out what products are installed that are not part of the IBM delivery. Naturally, there are also IBM products that are not part of the normal z/OS delivery but have to be ordered. So, unless you have some knowledge to start with you will have a very hard time and this will also be very time consuming.
