Hi All,

The basic structure of PCB block in linkage division is shown as below.

05 DBD-NAME PIC X(8 ).
05 SEG-LEVEL PIC X(2).
05 STAT-CODE PIC X(2).
05 PROC-OPT PIC X(4).
05 RESERVED-AREA PIC S9(5) COMP.
05 SEG-NAME PIC X(8 ).
05 KEY-LEN PIC S9(5) COMP.
05 NO-OF-SENSEG PIC S9(5) COMP.
05 KEY-VALU PIC X(20).

Here what is the purpose of Reserved Area?

Who knows? It might be spare or it might be something system-ish. Whatever - IBM reckons you do not need to know what it is for and because it is reserved you should leave well alone.
