I want to show an Abend in an email.
Code:

//TSTCPL2  IF  (ABEND)                 THEN
//SETAC    SET ACODE=ABENDCC
...

//SYSUT1   DD *,SYMBOLS=(EXECSYS)
HELO JPJES2P
…

ALABEND ABENDED  &ACODE

When doing this, I get ALABEND ABENDED ANEDCC. It doesn't show the abend (S806). Is there a way to show this - 'ALABEND ABENDED S806'?

adbrad,

You cannot pass the abend cde as a symbol. You have to look in the job control blocks and then extract the information.

REXX or assembler program can get you the desired results.
