Hello,

I am supporting a system which is undergoing an upgradation on SYNCSORT utiliy.
I need to identify the impacted components (JOBS & PROCS) for the same.

I know few ways: (let me know if there are any corrections are to be made in the following ways)
1. Searching for PGM=SYNCSORT in the JOB and PROC libraries
2. Searching for PGM=SORT without a STEPLIB
3. Searching for PGM=SORT without SORT-WORK FILES

As, SORT utilities (SYNCSORT & DFSORT) are used extensively in the application I am supporting, I need to know the strategic ways of identifying the components executing ONLY SYNCSORT utilities.

Please Assist,

Thank You.

meghna,

You may also need to search for PGM=ICEMAN , PGM=SYNCTOOL , and i also suggest searching for SORT FIELDS=COPY, OUTFIL, OUTREC, INREC, OMIT, INCLUDE in the parmlib

Hope this helps...

cheers
