HI all,
Is there any way to change the field length of an SDSF field?
For example,
OBNAME JobID Owner Max-RC
ETNPCQD1 JOB34795 X122958 ABEND S0

I want to see the full value under Max-Rc, but my current set up allows to view only 'ABEND S0'. Is t possible to change the display field length so that i can view the full return code?
Thanks
Ja

Jamylady,

follow these steps

1. Place your cursor on View (top of your SDSF screen) and press ENTER
2. This will bring a pop-up list as follows
Code:

1.    Sort...
2.    Arrange...
3.    Set hex to ON
4.    Change field list to ALTERNATE
5.    Who...

Choose option 2(Arrange) and press ENTER

Now you can change the width of the columns.

Code:

           Column                    Width
           JOBID                         8
           Create-Date                  19
           C                             1
           MAX-RC                       10
           FORMS                         8
           TOT-REC                      10
           DEST                         18
           TOT-PAGE                      9
           STATUS                       16
           OWNER                         8
           PRTY                          4

Set the max-rc column to 10 and you will be able to see the entire abend code

Hope this helps...

Cheers

kolusu

tattva,

On the "Arrange" panel as described by Kolusu, just press a F1. You will get the meaning of "Delayed Access" phrase. Here's what I got -

o Delayed Access. Displaying that column may
degrade performance. For best performance, you
may want to keep that column toward the bottom of
the list, so that it is displayed on the panel
only when you scroll to the right.

The F1 key is the most wonderful key on all OSs.

Thanks,
Manas
