mainframe C or the 'open system C' ? I know of many forums for the latter.

Have you done even a basic web search? There must be hundreds of such boards, sites, newsgroups, mailing lists, etc, etc, though probably not many specific to mainframes.

Shocked guys u being too harsh..i did do a search on web..and i dint come across a site so neat as this..so i thut i would get a better reply from u chaps..anyway thanks for ur time.

for z/OS or OS/390 C/C++ there is a newsgroups on the IBM server ibm.software.cpp.zos etc. And then there is comp.lang.c for ANSI C, which has a good FAQ which you should check out before posting. It's the land of flames over there and they don't suffer fools. comp.lang.programming has lots of C stuff, comp.lang.algorithms has heaps of C algorithms.
