|
|
Hi,
Is it possible for a COBOL program to contain both ADABS calls (EXEC ADABAS) and DB2 Calls (EXEC SQL) ?
If yes, what is the process of compilation for that COBOL program (like Adabas pre-compilation/DB2 pre-compilation/COBOL Compilation..etc)?
Thanks,

You compile it like a regular DB2 program, just add the ADABAS load library to your STEPLIB, or an ADARUN card.

Hi ofer71,
Thanks for the reply. From your reply, I assume that it is possible for a COBOL program to contain both ADABS calls (EXEC ADABAS) and DB2 Calls (EXEC SQL).
Thanks,

Yes, I have programs using both ADABAS abd DB2. You can access ADABAS from within any conventional programming language, filling the buffers, and using the CALL interface standards.
