Hi,
Is there any way to overcome the following error..
IEFC012I JCL STATEMENT MAXIMUM LENGTH EXCEEDED
I need to execute a lengthy SQL using JCL and when I submit the job, I am getting the above error message.
I know we can use JOBPARM to alter some default values such as LINES. But not sure whether we can alter this value in a similar way.
Books says the following
Explanation: The system found a statement that exceeded the maximum length allowed. The string text length of the JCL statement exceeds the size of the C/I text buffer.
Any Idea...most appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks kolusu,
I was also thinking the same...But this is actually the case. When I shorten the SQL by removing some conditions, it worked. It is actually the size of the SQL. The total number of lines are less than 200 and that is why I am wondering.. |

It's hard to imagine without seeing the source.
Could you post the full job - original JCL + SQL (pre-deletions)?
Please post it as a...

so its clear to read.
