We have 2 regions say A and B - where the workload balancing has to be done.

A Dynamic DPL link was setup for Program 'P' from other regions say C,D and E to Both (A and B to balance the workload) regions by specifying

1. DYNAMIC(YES).
2. Leave REMOTESYSTEM option as BLANK

in the Remote PPT entry.

3. Defined in CPSM for WLM

When the transaction associated(Say 'T') is disabled in both A and B, the DPL link excutes locally in the region C.

This was not happening as of the documents in PUBLIB and IBM website....
"If an error occurs in route selection--for example, if the SYSID
returned by the dynamic routing program is unavailable or unknown, or
the link fails on the specified target region--to provide an alternate
SYSID. This process iterates until either the program-link is
successful or the return code from the dynamic routing program is not
equal to zero."

we are not sure if there are any other reasons for this.

To avoid this problem, we gave region D in the REMOTESYSTEM parameter to make it the default region(As per IBM manuals )..

Now the Program is not executing in Locally but this does not provide load-balancing between the 2 regions.

Please advice if there is any other method to implement load balancing in DPL.

Thanks!
