somehow i activated something that is indicated by a W in the status line on the bottom just to the right of where the insert indicator ^ is. anyone know what i did and how to undo it ?

what are reasons for creating an alias for a pds member?
i have seen them in change management libraries. Is there any other reason to use one?

when i select it, i want it to appear in my output formatted as 00000000000.00

i have tried cast(PMT_AMT) & get a hex display

The record are from the sorted file. They are not consecutive, but they are in order (i.e. there are a lot of records between these records that are not shown).

Does (9,8 ) REALLY MEAN start at p ...

I have a job that executes DMBATCH to select statistics - and the only 'where' is starttime, so the output file contains all statistics, i think.
