somehow i activated something that is indicated by a W in the status line on the bottom just to the right of where the insert indicator ^ is. anyone know what i did and how to undo it ? |

what are reasons for creating an alias for a pds member?
i have seen them in change management libraries. Is there any other reason to use one? |

The record are from the sorted file. They are not consecutive, but they are in order (i.e. there are a lot of records between these records that are not shown).
