No, that would just copy all generations of the original GDG into a single generation of the new GDG, whereas the OP wants one generation of the new GDG for each generation of the original GDG.

I just solved a similar problem here. Try adding DATACLAS=DEFAULT, to override the ACS routines.

I think there is a "COMPRESS SPACES" or "COMPRESS BLANKS" option, or something similar. I'll see if I can find it at work tomorrow.

You can use the TSO XMIT command, or you can just place the files somewhere the other ID has read access to.

Use ISPF option 3.14, or issue the SRCHFOR xxxxx command from a member list, or from the dataset list you get from option 3.4
