Modak, your second solution worked fine for me. I would appear that you must write something out to the DD before the member is created. This is what I did:

"ALLOC FI(PDS) DA(MY.PDS(DDNAMES)) OLD"
PUSH ""
"EXECIO 1 DISKW PDS (FINIS"

Your code is wrong in the second example. Your execio statement is trying to write to a DD name of LVERR but you alloc statement has allocated your new member to a DD name of NEWMEM.
...and yes, in order to create the member you must write something to it. _________________ My opinions are exactly that. |
