Hi All,

How to declare the file descriptor entry in cobol, if I want the ouput file in binary, not text?

EVERYTHING on the computer is binary. For example, how would you define your FD entry if you wanted to output only numbers (COMP-3, etc). There would be no difference for the FD entry.

What exactly do you mean by 'ouput file in binary'?
