|
|
Hi,
In my program,I have created a dummy-intermediate report, which i never print. But this report goes to the SYSPRINT of the job.I know this is the default feature of the language. But i don't want this in the SYSPRINT or any where.
This report generates the SUMMARY VALUES,which are used down the line in another report, which prints the SUMMARY REPORT with proper annotation.
So,the intermediate report is neccessary and can't be removed.
Can i override this feature?
In anticipation,
regards,

euphoria,
Your statements seem contradicting.

Now what is actually required ????? You want only the summary (Report Totals) to be passed to subsequent steps ? Try removing the LINE statement of Eazytrieve which will stop printing Detail records. Also, forward the Report to some other DD Name other than SYSPRINT and use this output in your subsequent step.
Or
You can generate the summary portion using SORT instaed of Easytrieve. If this is acceptable, give us your Easytrieve code and we will see how best we can convert the eazytrieve code to sort.
Thanks,

euphoria,
Define the intermediate report as Virtual retain and you should be all set.
Hope this helps..
Cheers
