Is there any JCL to get tho volume serial of a tape

Hi all,

I was asked to write a JCL which has an input of tape name and output as the volume serial for a given tape.
Help me out by providing the JCL or by giving some clues.

Post your question only once and in only one forum. When you post the same question in multiple forums, you can cause confusion and frustration for the people that are attempting to help you.

Try issuing LISTCAT against the tape and you will find the volume serial information
