I want to use DITTO function or other systool to edit a vsam file.
how can I do?
because My english is poor,please forgive me.

What is your actual requirement ? You can use either SORT or FILEAID to update the contents of a VSAM. Let us know what your actual requirement is - a Sample Input and Sample Output example would be helpful.

ceci read fi(smfta) rid('131') into(&AA)
read fi(smftb) rid('131') update
rewrite fi(smftb) rid('131) from &aa

how can I do this in a batch ?thank you
I don't have FILEAID tool.
can I user DITTO FUNCTION or CECI function in a batch mode? thanks a lot Embarassed
