Hi all,

What is the significance of AMP parameter applied for VSAM files?

I was not able to understand through the ZOS material psecially in case of BUFND and BUFNI sub-parameters.

Kindly throw some light.

deadlycoder,

Check this link which explains in detail about the AMP parameter

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/IEA2B631/12.4?DT=20030423085347

Hope this helps...

Hi Kolusu,

Thanks for your reply.

But I have already gone through the above link.

I need to know under which circumstances BUFND and BUFNI sub-parameters are used. For example when a file is being used in I/P, O/P or I/O mode.

It will be great if you can elaborate on the use of above mentioned sub-parameters under AMP parameter with example.

Waiting for a solution again.
