|
|
Hi All,
I have a tape dataset. I want to view the creation date, owner plus all the details about that dataset.
I don't have any tools to get the details.
Is it possible to get the information through JCL? If yes, please provide me the JCL.
Thanks in advance. |

Hi Kolusu,
By submitting the given JCL, we are not seeing the Owner name. Its displaying DATASET-OWNER-----(NULL)
Whereas using the DFRMM tool we can see the Owner name.(My concern is either it must not display OWNER name or it should display correctly.)
Could you please help.
Thanks,
Thrivikram. |

| Hi; You cannot compare the output from 2 software products and expect to get identical results. Both are correct. If when you catalog a dataset you do not specify owner information (and normally you don't) then you cannot expect to see this information when you issue a listc command. If you wish to see this information for a tape dataset run a RMM batch job. |

//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*,DCB=(RECFM=FB,LRECL=444)
//SYSPROC DD DISP=SHR,DSN=XTRNEHN.STD.CNTL

How can I overcome this?

THRIVIKRAM,
Why don't u try to find the datasets available in you shop .Try for and if you have access to the dataset you will be displayed the exact dataset name and you can include in your JCL.Hope this helps. _________________ Shekar
