Actually, we are giving a proposal to move to COBOL from FOCUS. We need to make the Users understand the advantages of moving off from FOCUS.

We need to show advantages/disadvantages between FOCUS and COBOL in areas like:

1. Development ease
2. Ability for users to generate own reports
3. Accessibility to data, speed with which to generate new reports
4. Any mainframe infrastructure considerations
5. Cost Factor
6. Others?

Can anybody help ??

I had gone through the specified Link. But it talked about SAS to COBOL/FOCUS rather than FOCUS to COBOL.

Can you please advise on comparison with these two ?
