Hello,

We have hired a mainframe system to develop small CICS application.

I am trying to setup first CICS transaction of my life from scratch and I am stuck!

I have done following.
1. Created a CICSDB2 program in COBOL
2. Generated a mapset
3. Compiled the program (compile was successful with warning of 4 for DB2 table)

Now I need to run the program in CICS. I know I will have to make PCT and PPT entries somewhere but I dont know how!

Please can someone guide me?

This is my favorite CICS starting spot:
CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3R2
and this is the RDO manual:
CICS Resource Definition Guide
Scroll down CEDA.......
BTW, if you have autoinstall on, you will only need the PCT entry, the program and the map will install automatically.....
