Hi,
I have a few interview questions.
1) In the input file i have a fixed record length of 80 bytes.But in the output file i should have like First record should be 80 bytes second record should be 75 bytes.Third record should be 70 bytes.how will i do that
2)Which one processes fast in cobol.Through table or through sort
3) In the Production jcl the job got abended.I want to replace with a test file and run the production jcl.how will i do that
4)Is there any utility available to find the constraints in a db2 table
5)There are three jobs namely A,B & C. B is dependent on A and A triggers C.In what sequence the jobs will run

1. Unless you are creating a VB file , the length of all records in a FB are of same length. For a VB file move the length you want into the 1st bytes of RDW.

2. Depends on how the table is defined and sorting algorithm you use.

3. JCL DD override as long as the pvt dataset is also on the same LPAR

4. Query the catalog tables

5. After the completion of A, both B and C run in parallel.
