Hi,

Is there a way to have a random/Direct read on KSDS file using DFSort ?

If not, Anybody know why this feature was not added ?

Magesh_J,

DFSORT reads vsam clusters sequentially, however there are ways to achieve the random reading using INCLUDE and SKIPREC/STOPAFT parms. Remember IDCAMS also offers FROMKEY/TOKEY to copy specific records.
