Hello Forum,

After the post on DB2 on Z/OS authorities, I thought of putting together another post on privileges. DB2 privileges are much more granular than authorities and unlike authorities, they are granted at a DB2 object level. Some of the DB2 authorities can be thought of as an encapsulation of a group of privileges.

Following are most of the DB2 privileges that you are expected to encounter on DB2 v7 on Z/OS. They are grouped according to the object on which they apply.

If anybody still has any doubts on any privileges, please feel free to post it on the DB2 forum.
