Thanks semigeezer. I learned more about SELECT service from your post. Can you explain more about the NEST parameter. What is meant by global variables. Are they the variables that are accessed by VPUT & VGET commands ? I know this is too late to ask such a basic question. But the worst thing is that I don't know it.

Please help

Thanks,

Thanks Phantom and Semigeezer.
Couple of other issues :

1>I was not able to find NOBARRIER keyword ( I searched using IBM Quick Reference). Can you please give some links
2> By using the SELECT statment ISPSTRT,(as you say), Im going to be inside ISPF. Would a new stack be created in this case also. I was under the impression that new stack would be created for ISPSTART with NEW APPL? Correct me If Iam wrong? The same question applies for VPUT and VGET ?

Cheers,
Coolman.

coolman,

BARRIER is actually a parameter for the SELECT service. You can find the details about BARRIER in the link called PARAMETERS in the SELECT service page.

Use the link below to go to the parameters page and there you will find details reg. BARRIER.
