Greetings.

We are preparing for an upgrade to z/OS 1.8 from 1.6, to be followed next spring by an upgrade to 1.10

We have had many items fail during testing due to region size issues.

In my 25+ yrs of sysproging, I have never seen a good explanation of how or where to set the system defaults for region size. I know there are many factors.
The majority of jobs so far that fail are jobs that execuste TSO in batch and then go on to invoke DB2 programs.

Any ideas or pointers would be great!

OK.

No longer an issue, I found the REGION parm on the JES3 CIPARM statement that took care of it.
