Hi,

We have the back up file for a vSAM dataset in the tapes and this back up file is a huge file. I need 4 records to be copied from the backup VSAM file. Instead of downloading the whole backup VSAM file, How I can download only those particualar 4 records.

Can somebody please advice.

The backup is just a sequential file. Use SORT or File-Aid to retrieve only the records you want.
