I am unable to find any information about DFSORT being able to convert a number in scientific notation to IBM's double (COMP-2). For example this:
+8.917266456210770E-01

to:
...well, I have no idea what it would look like!

Can it be done?

johngee1,

Using DFSORT you can convert FL (hexadecimal floating-point) values to integer values, provided you are running in z/Architecture mode.
