Hi Friends,

Can any one help me for below queries :

1) I want to run a cobol program in a windows environment. I need an editor and the complier to excute my program.
2) My program has to interact with DB2 database. I came to know that with the help of ODBC it is possible. Can any one help me how it is possible.

I need it asap, please help me

you can buy MS visual studio,
you can then download from MicroFocus a 'free' cobol,
which will interface with visual studio
you can download from IBM a free copy of db2 vsn9 express c.
which also has add-ons for visual studio.

Do we need to necessarily have the interface MS Visual studio into to execute to Cobol DB2 program, if not please let me know the other options.

There are a host of COBOL compilers for Windows and open systems

1) Microfocus COBOL
2) Fujitsu NetCOBOl for Windows
3) IBM COBOL for Eclipse(??) to name a few...

you can find some more information regarding other COBOL compilers in cobug.com
