Hi,

I need a clarification.

If the key of a VSAM file is packed decimal or binary. How is the behaviour of the records in VSAM file. Will there be a chance of duplicate records.

Can you one put some light on this.

Thanks in advance,

Naveen

naveen_kj,

vsam key behaviour does not depend on the format of the field.Remember that packed decimal/binary fields can store a negative values.

Hope this helps...

cheers
