Members,

We need to install DB2 Connect on a machine and access DB2 on Mainframe in a different location.I know the LPAR IP address of the mainframe but I want to know what port I should use to connect. Is there any way to know what port is on the Mainframe end.

yadav2005,

Assuming that Distributed Data Facility (DDF) on z/OS is running you can use the following command from DB2 commands menu

Code:

-DISPLAY DDF

The TCPPORT value in the results is the port number.

Read about the DISPLAY DDF command here

Before installing the DB2 connect you also might wanna read this
