Hello MVS geeks,

I need some help for a clean-up action I need to perform.
So I have this system which has been at a time part of a sysplex but is not anymore.
But there are some remainders of it's old configuration.
In particular I have those 2 datasets that are defined in XCF:

RESPONSE=SYSF
IXC358I 15.11.47 DISPLAY XCF 849
BPXMCDS COUPLE DATA SETS
PRIMARY DSN: SYS3.B000.OMVS.CDS01
VOLSER: ZCB0X1 DEVN: N/A
FORMAT TOD MAXSYSTEM
11/16/2006 18:21:52 16
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
NOT PROVIDED
ALTERNATE DSN: SYS3.B000.OMVS.CDS02
VOLSER: ZCB0X2 DEVN: N/A
FORMAT TOD MAXSYSTEM
11/16/2006 18:21:52 16
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
NOT PROVIDED
BPXMCDS NOT IN USE BY ANY SYSTEM

The datasets have been deleted and are not on any disk.
So I would like to completely remove them from XCF but I have not found any command like SETXCF COUPLE,DELETE...
They are not present in SYS1.PARMLIB(COUPLExx), so they must have been removed some time ago, but the definitions still remain in the sysplex couple datasets and I am looking for a way to remove them from there without "breaking" the system.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

batsaali,

So when the system is removed from the sysplex, did you issue a SET XCF to PSwitch the couple datasets ? Does the COUPLExx have the new dataset names?

Administrative Data Utility (IXCMIAPU) creates, updates, deletes, or reports on the data in the CDS. SYS1.SAMPLIB has examples
