We recently had a JCL failure on a BLKSIZE - the DCB has no BLKSIZE coded and this works fine every day - except last night we tried to NDM an empty file and it filed with an invlaid BLKSIZE - why is this? If I had set BLKSIZE=0 or hardcoded it would I of avoided the issue?

Please provide us more details like the exact error message and also the jcl used. By any chance are you using DD DUMMY as input?
