John,

This is the 3rd topic by you on the same topic about performance tuning. And you keep asking the same question over and over again. Check this link which discusses about performance tuning

http://www.mvsforums.com/helpboards/viewtopic.php?p=10269&highlight=#10269

Aren't you satisfied with the answer? If so post your queries in the same topic with specific stress on the area you want to improve. You hardly post any feed back and you go in circles with the same question.

Coming to your question about compiler options, you would found have this topic which discusses the compiler options if you had searched before posting.

http://www.mvsforums.com/helpboards/viewtopic.php?t=321&highlight=compile+options

You already posted 29 topics and I guess by now you should be aware of the rules of this site. Please FOLLOW the rules.

Thanks

Kolusu

I am looking for compiler options like FASTSRT, TRUNC.
I am using the NUMPROC(NOPFD), so If I use PFD option... then by what % will the performance enhance...Any available benchmarking data??

John,

Did you bother reading the PDF document which was supplied to in your first posts?

IBM COBOL for MVS & VM Version 1 Release 2 Performance Tuning

It had seperate sections for

1.Compiler Options that Affect Run-Time Performance
2.Run-Time Options that Affect Run-Time Performance
3.COBOL and LE Features that Affect Run-Time Performance

Just read and try to implement the suggestions shown in that document

Also read this topic which discusses the performance issues

http://www.mvsforums.com/helpboards/viewtopic.php?t=197

Hope this helps...

Cheers
