BTS is a batch program and so does not execute the transaction as an MPP. This means that the programs do not work in quite the same way. My shop does not use BTS for this reason and I have no experience with PL/I but I would start by looking at the parameter list that you are passing down. I would also look at how the parameter list is being passed down as I believe that PL/I and COBOL use a different linakge protocol.
