When MDT for a field is set and no change is made to the field by the user,is the length of the field returned as 0 to the application or is it equal to the number of characters that have been displayed.
For Eg: If a field 'dept name' has mdt set and 'dept1' is displayed.If no change is made to this value,is the length returned as 5 or 0?

I have been looking for this information on a lot of sites but havent found a suitable and direct reply yet! Rolling Eyes
