Hi All,

Iam a new member to this board.I just have a requirement.I have one job in $AVRS reported every day which has 3 steps in it(step1,step2,step3).After typing F against the job in $avrs,it will list out the steps in the $avrs panel.if i type 'O' against the step1,$avrs will prompt for a dataset and will write the contents of this step1 into a dataset.I need to automate this via rexx.

My inputs to the rexx are jobname, stepname(say step1),dataset to which the step details needs to be written.Could anybody help me in doing this.

Thanks a lot,
Prasad Manik.

prasadman,

Please search before posting , check this topic which discusses about pulling the job information from $avrs in batch. Once you get the output , you can strip off the required data.

Hope this helps...

Cheers
