Thx for ur response..

But the compile program we are using is the one I specified in my post..it is for IDMS type...so will there be any change in description for these compiler options..

OS/VS COBOL has not been supported for at least 10 years.

Luckily for you , most any COBOL book will do. I suggest you look on this site for the links to manuals and then go to a COBOL Programmers Guide. Browse on OPTIONS and you should find an explanation for them.

My suggestion is you try to get a newer compiler.
