We are running OS/390 2.6 with jes3, yes that's 2.6 and jes3 believe it or not. We have a jes3 remote printer that we are trying too print to over IP. We can ping the printer, jes3 shows the job started but the printer never actually prints. We issue the fail command to reset the printer and get the following msg:

APS934I system status showed prt was started, when using the fail command the following error orrer occurred-communication with TCP/IP attached printer ipaddr(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) was terminated, cause
(nonack_retry) tcp/ip errno(157).

I can't find any information on the 157 code. Any help with what this means or any recommendations are welcome.
