How are you trying to copy? Are you using Repro? Always try to post necessary information, the best would be to post the JCL that is not working. |

Here is the JCL I am running. I am trying to enter a blank line to this dataset:
//STEP0010 EXEC PGM=IDCAMS,COND=(0,LT)
//OUTDD1 DD DSN=P00DBA.ZZZ.OMDB2.TESTTEST,
// DISP=(NEW,CATLG,DELETE),
// LIKE=P00DBA.ZZZ.OMDB2.PCSCA021.TRACE
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSIN DD *
/*
//SYSIN DD *
REPRO IFILE(SYSIN) OFILE(OUTDD1) REPLACE
Because it is a linear VSAM dataset, there is a problem getting it initialized when I go to use it. |

REPRO IFILE(SYSIN) ???
Why?
SYSIN is the DD name which is used by IDCAMS to read the input control statements.
Try this:
| Code: |
//STEP1 EXEC PGM=IDCAMS
//SYSIN DD *
REPRO IFILE(INDD1) OFILE(OUTDD1) REPLACE
/*
//INDD1 DD *
/*
//OUTDD1 DD DSN=your file...
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*
