Hi All,
I am facing a problem in XMITIP. I have zip'd my output file using PKZIP and I am trying to transmit it through XMITIP.
Since the file which I have zip'd is about 6 MB in size I am not able to transmit it through XMITIP. I need to send the file in EXCEL format.
Could anyone provide a suitable soultion for the above problem.
Also, please let me know what is the maximum file size that XMITIP can hold for transmission.
Thanks in advance. |

muralikrishnan,
You can try to split the input file into smaller files and then XMIT them instead of one big file.

Btw unless you are using OFFICE 2007 EXCEL has a limit of 65,536 rows per sheet. So you can split the file into chunks of 65,536 records and transmit them
Hope this helps...
Cheers

Kolusu,
Thanks for your reply.
I am using FOCUS to generate the report.
I tried splitting the file into 3 parts and each file size comes around 3Mb.
I am not able to transmit the file in Excel format.
Do I have to split into multiple parts or is there any other way to overcome this situation.
I am finding it difficult to split the FOCUS program into several parts.
Please suggest a solution.
Thanks in advance. |
