i'm a beginner in mainframe.will anybody plz give me an explanation abt GDGs.how can we concatenate GdGs,HOW gdgS r useful in payroll system&long distance telphone charge handling? : Question

I think GDG's are used every where . Once u find it's features, you can realate it with the business req.

gdg's are used to create different version of a file, hourly, daily, weekly etc, without changing the corresponding jcl's.

as fas i have seen, gdg's are used in every system.
