Can any one list the differences/problems between VS COBOL vs OS390 COBOL we might come across while converting from VS COBOL to OS390 COBOL.

Check this manual for migrating VS COBOL II to OS/390 COBOL.

you need to look into chapter 12 & 13 which address specifically to your case.
