Hi

I have a HIS software to connect mainframe.When I try to connect It asking following parameters.

Remote Network address
Network name
Control point name
Local Node Ip
Remote Node IP
XID Type.

I searched in Vtamlst dataset But I could not find out.

Where Can I get all those information.

Is this for an SNA or IP connection?

look in vtamlst member ATCSTR?? probably 00 and find netid. That should be the network name. The network address is probably the mac address of an interface to the sna network, maybe an osa card or a 3745. The control point name is what you want to call yourself and must be unique in the sna net. XID type is probably 2. Don't know what relevance the IP addresses would have.
You should get with your vtam sysprog to coordinate.

I am also clueless as to HIS, and I was clueless as to MACADDR until I looked it up in Google (but then I'm just an ordinary batch specialist).

Jashu, please don't use single-word titles for your queries, especially when the single word isn't a real word. It just makes people look the other way. You really will get more responses with titles that are more descriptive.
