|

Hi
Before posting this query i would like to say that i did a comprehensive search thru the site and was not able to get satisfactory answers. Maybe the question itself might sound unimportant but a doubt is a doubt always. So in case i have missed searching any forums, admins please dont feel bad apologies in advance..
ok coming the question
Generally GDGs are names as AAAA.BBBB.G0000V00 The G0000 part of it is the generation number and gets incremented as and when new genration datasets are created, but what is the significance of V00 i.e. the version number. Is it something which MVS handles? or is it just used to renaming different versions for the same GDG? _________________ Thanks and Regards..
