Hi all,
In order to count number of records in the file. We can use simply file aid with option plp.fileaid -- > 3 -- > 8 and we will give the dataset name .aftert hat we will give " Tally " to get number of records int he fie. Is there any other commands available like tally... Pl fwd the link it will be quite quiteful.

I happen to see that there is a topic to count the no: of records which is similar to tally command in File-Aid.

Thanks for ur kind reply.But I want to know is there any thing more like Tally which is used in JCL and in interactive section. I am new to the FileAid.. So i asked..sorry if u think the question is being repeated.
