i need to develop a REXX tool to view programs with all the copybooks expanded.

It depends how you want to invoke it: From within editor for a single program, a batch process or an ISPF dialog with panels.

You have many options here, including EXECIO, Edit-Macro commands, ISPF services and much more.

Please be more specific.

varadhaganesh,

Simply compile the pgm and strip of the compiler listing from the sysprint compiler listing.
